Quang Ninh delegation works in the UK

Within the framework of a working visit to the UK to start activities of the Clipper Round The World Yacht Race 2019-2020, Quang Ninh’s delegation led by Vice-chairman Bui Van Khang had a courtesy meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to the UK, Tran Ngoc An.

At the meeting, Vice-chairman of Quang Ninh Provincial People’s Committee Bui Van Khang thanked Vietnam’s Embassy to the UK for its active support to help Quang Ninh officially join Clipper Race 2019-2020, and become a part as well as one of the hosting destinations during 2021-2022 season. Joining the race is an important opportunity to introduce and advertise Quang Ninh’s tourism in particular and Vietnam’s tourism in general. 

Ambassador Tran Ngoc An affirmed that he is delighted to be a a bridge linking Quang Ninh and the UK’s strategic investors, travel agencies, prestigious educational establishments, organizations in order to carry out specific programs to boost cooperation between both sides in the coming time.

At 9pm on August 29 (Vietnamese time), Quang Ninh officially named its racing team “Ha Long Bay – Vietnam” at St Katherine Docks, London, the UK, kicking off a series of activities for the only representative locality of Vietnam to join the race for the 2019-2020 season.
