Quan Dai temple becomes National historical relic

A solem ceremony was held on Jul. 22 in Quang Yen town to receive the certificate of Quan Dai temple National Historical Relic. The event was coincided with the celebration of 150th death anniversary of the Nguyen dynasty's heroes namely Truong Quoc Dung and Van Duc Giai.

Truong Quoc Dung and Van Duc Giai were two generals and culturists of the Nguyen dynasty in the late 19th century. Local people annualy held Quan Dai temple festival on June 26th (of the Lunar year) to memorize these heroes. The festival often starts with the Gods procession. Additionally, a wide range of folk games are organized on this occasion, such as football, people chess, tug of war, etc.

With its historial and cultural values, Quan Dai temple has been recognized as a National Historical Relic. This is not only an honor but also a responsibility for the local authority to to conserve and promote its values and educate young generation about the patriotism.
