Pilgrims pray at Dong Pagoda, which sits atop a mountain peak about 1,000m above sea level, on the occasion of the Yen Tu Spring Festival, which began in the northern province of Quang Ninh on Monday.
This year the festival celebrates the official recognition of the Yen Tu historical site as a Special National Heritage Site. The annual festival includes a wide variety of religious observations and prayers for peace and prosperity. Yen Tu Mountain is a famous pilgrimage route; the winding trek from the foot of the mountain to its highest peak is about 30km
