Over 5,000 people participated in Ha Long Bay Heritage Marathon 2022
The 7th annual international marathon, jointly held by the provincial Department of Culture and Sports, the People's Committee of Ha Long city, and DHA Vietnam, was held on November 13 in Ha Long city. The event attracted more than 5,000 participants.
The event aims to create a healthy and positive environment where running enthusiasts can challenge themselves, meet, and share their various experiences with each other.
Athletes attending the event competed in a diverse range of categories, including a 42.195-km marathon, a 21.1-km half-marathon, a 10-km run, and a five-km run. Participants had the chance to enjoy some of the spectacular views of the bay, including running through a mountain tunnel in Cam Pha city.
First introduced in November 2015, the annual event has now made its name to the international marathon map, having become a desirable destination of the jogging lovers' community around the world.
The race is voted by the prestigious magazine “Runner's World UK” as having one of the world's 50 most beautiful running tracks.
