New rice season in Binh Lieu

The custom of eating new rice is considered an indispensable part of the traditional cultural identity of the Tay people in Binh Lieu. The new rice season usually takes place in the 10th month of the lunar calendar every year.

From the end of October to early November, rice in paddy fields ripens in Binh Lieu mountainous district. The romantic beauty of the mountainous district captivates many tourists.

The custom of eating new rice was highlighted at the Binh Lieu Yellow Season Festival which took place in the northern province of Quang Ninh from October 29 to November 20 to honour the ethnic traditional cultures and natural beauty of the border district of Binh Lieu.
