On September 5, joining the nationwide excitement of the new school year, nearly 372,000 students from preschool to upper secondary level across Quang Ninh City, together with their teachers, began the 2026–2027 school year — the first school year since Quang Ninh became a city.
In the 2026–2027 school year, Quang Ninh City has 346 preschool and general education establishments. Amid the excitement of the new school year, educational establishments across the city held their opening ceremonies simultaneously.
A highlight of this year’s opening ceremonies was that they were held in conjunction with the inauguration of boarding schools providing education from primary to lower secondary level in border and mainland areas across the country. The initiative is of practical significance in further completing the network of schools and classrooms and improving learning and living conditions for students, particularly in disadvantaged areas.
In Quang Ninh, the main venue was Binh Liêu Primary and Lower Secondary Boarding School in Binh Liêu Commune, which was connected to the central venue of Vietnam Television.
On the new academic year opening day, leaders of Quang Ninh City and local authorities attended ceremonies, extended congratulations and encouraged teachers and students at several educational establishments across the city, helping create further momentum as schools entered the new academic year with enthusiasm, initiative and determination.
