On August 14h in Ha Long City, Minister of Education and Training Phung Xuan Nha had a working session with Quang Ninh’s leaders on the development strategy for Ha Long University.
To develop Ha Long University as a provincial high-quality human resource training hub and a Quang Ninh’s Vice-chairwoman presented some important proposals to the Minister, such as: allowing the province to establish an English skills examination center; increasing the quota for enlistment of students studying tourism and services majors; allowing Ha Long University to operate bachelor programs of Kindergarten and Primary Education; offering lecturers training courses overseas ,etc.
The Minister of Education and Training suggested that Ha Long University should be developed as a tertiary education hub to meet the demand of socio-economic development in coming years not only for Quang Ninh province but also the country and even the region. Within its authorities, the ministry would support Quang Ninh with appropriate mechanisms to pilot the model of a tertiary education hub.
