Mao Khe and Van Don considered for special commune-level administrative classification

On September 8, a central inter-agency delegation led by Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Truong Hai Long worked with the Quang Ninh City People’s Committee on the classification of Mao Khe ward and Van Don Special Zone as special commune-level administrative units.

According to reports, based on the criteria set out in Government Decree No. 307, Mao Khe ward self-assessed its score of 92 points, while Van Don Special Zone scored 93.5 points. The delegation reviewed the dossiers, data and classification criteria of the two localities and requested Quang Ninh to finalise the two proposals, ensuring that all necessary grounds, data and criteria are fully provided for the upcoming appraisal process.
