On July 9, Secretary of Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee chaired the meeting regarding the implementation of the key projects in Ha Long after the Prime Minister approved the adjusted construction planning of Ha Long City until 2040 with a vision toward 2050 at Decision No. 702 dated June 7, 2019.
A number of major investment projects are being carried out in Ha Long city in order to build modern, synchronous technical and social infrastructure to target the goal of developing Ha Long into a civilized and eco-friendly coastal tourism city; a world class hub of tourism and services, in line with preserving values of the Ha Long Bay world natural heritage site.

Concluding the meeting, Secretary Nguyen Van Doc affirmed that Decision No.702 is the result of great determination of the relevant departments and sectors, and Ha Long City authorities. Based on the decision, the city has to complete the planning for sub-zones, including: Tuan Chau, Bim, Bai Chay, Hon Gai and publish the planning for people to supervise the implementation of the planning.
