India provides 250 disabled people with free artificial limbs

250 people with disabilities in Quang Ninh province have received artificial limbs from a non-governmental organization from India since May 6. The program will last until May 21.

The charity program has been jointly implemented by the Indian NGO named Bhagwan Mahaveer Viklang Sahayara Samiti (BMVSS) based in the state of Jaipur, the Huu Nghi Material Production JSC and Quang Ninh Rehabilitation Hospital.

10 experienced doctors and technicians sent by BMVSS are deploying the work at Quang Ninh Rehabilitation Hospital. The hospital also takes charge of monitoring the patients after they are fitted artificial limbs.

Under this humanitarian project, 500 disabled people in Vinh Phuc and Phu Tho provinces received free artificial limbs in 2018.

As schedule, the organization will also present these limbs to 250 people in Yen Bai province this year.

Local residents with disabilities who have a demand for using artificial limbs can come into contact with Quang Ninh Rehabilitation Hospital at 9A Zone, Quang Hanh ward, Cam Pha city or dial 0988.984.028.
