Recently, in order to improve cross-border trade transaction index in the period of 2019-2020, Quang Ninh Customs has undertaken a package of measures.
Accordingly, the measures focus on 5 key points, namely improving the operational efficiency of customs agencies; innovating the management comprehensively and connecting with Vietnam National Single Window; improving the quality and reducing the time and costs of loading and unloading as well as commodity circulation at warehouses and terminals; enhancing the support for import and export procedure performances; improving the quality of human resource.
To undertake the above-mentioned measures, Quang Ninh Customs continues conducting customs modernization, expanding Vietnam Automated System for Seaport Customs Management (VASSCM), adopting National Single Window NSW and ASEAN Single Window ASW, and developing partnership tie with enterprises.
By August 31st, 999 enterprises had conducted customs procedures via Quang Ninh (315 domestic enterprises and 684 enterprises from outside the province). 50,039 declaration papers had been claimed via VASSCM/ VCIS (Voice Case Information System) with import-export turnover of 7.03 billion USD (a year on year increase of 21.3% and 4.45% in terms of claims and turnover respectively).
