Hon Gai's tourism potentials waken up

In recent years, the tourism of Hon Gai has been promoted to attract domestic and international tourists, especially who are interested in experiencing tourism and local culture discovery.

Hon Gai - a part of Ha Long City is known for the beautiful road snaking along the bay, historical sites, unique architectures and convenient traffic connection. This beautiful land was endowed by the nature and is now well developed by local people’s effort. Tourists who are either nature lovers, searching for new discoveries, or peaceful relaxing places may find Hon Gai as a must visit destination.

Hon Gai is an ideal place to take a panorama of Ha Long city. This is home to locally featured attractions such as Quang Ninh Museum, dolphin-shaped Palace (official name: Quang Ninh Exhibition of Planning and Expo Center), Tran Quoc Nghien Temple, Bai Tho Mountain Cultural Relic, Long Tien Pagoda…They tell tales about cultural and historical characteristics of the seashore city.

As Ha Long city is growing, Hon Gai also sees the rise of new modern and mega constructions. Most recently, Ha Long City People’s Committee has advocated the expansion of Tran Quoc Nghien coastal road, running through Hong Ha and Hong Hai Wards. The road will be enlarged from 4 lanes to 6 lanes. The expansion will start from the Quang Ninh Exhibition of Planning and Expo Center to the starting point of the Ha Long-Cam Pha coastal road in Hong Ha ward, Ha Long City. The project is invested with a total capital of VND 870 billion, planned to be completed in May, 2020. Along with 6 lanes for vehicles, this will be the first route to have a separate wooden lane for walkers and bikers.

Located at the ending point of Tran Quoc Nghien coastal road, Hon Gai Public Beach which is 900m long, 70-90m wide will be built and opened in 2020.
