According to the Organization Board of Halong Bay International Heritage Marathon 2019, the tournament will officially take place on November 24 in Ha Long City.
This is the 5th consecutive year the HalongBay International Heritage Marathon was held by the Department of Culture and Sports in coordination with Ha Long City People's Committee, Vietnam Athletics Federation, and Duc Huong Anh Co., Ltd. (DHA).
With diverse categories of a 42-km marathon, a 21-km half-marathon, a 10-km run and a 5-km run, the races will all start from QuangNinh Planning and Expo Center. Of which, the 42-km marathon is scheduled to start at 5.30 am on Nov 24, and followed by the 21 km half-marathon, a 10-km run and a 5-km run after one or a half hour.
Halong Bay Heritage Marathon, one of the biggest, most professional and well-organized international marathons in Vietnam, is held annually on the last Sunday of November on the coast of the Ha Long Bay World Natural Heritage Site. It is not only a sport event but also a good chance to promote Quang Ninh's tourism.
