On May 8, in Ha Long city, Ha Long University Council’s Commitee held the first working sesion in 2019 with the aim of reviewing and elavuating the 2018 tasks performance, and discuss about missions of 2019.
As reported, in 2018, the council’s committee of Ha Long University consisting of members who are representatives of the University Board, lecturers and other relevant departments. The Committee had shown their good performance in consolidating the organization structure and effectively developing human resource of Ha Long university; incentivies offered by the Quang Ninh Provincial People’s Committee in attracting talented lectures and students were effectively carried out and well monitored by the Committee; enrollment, training, scientific research and international cooperation were all well-performed, thereby contributing to the university’s development and improving the quality of education and training.
For 2019 tasks, Quang Ninh Vice Chairman cum Head of Ha Long University Vu Thi Thu Thuy asked the university to continue to put high priority on the human resource development, improving the lecturers’ quality as well as intensifying education and training in the four main majors, such as services and tourism; foreign languages; techniques and technologies; society and humanities.
To reach the purpose to develop Ha Long University into a hi-quality education and training institution of not only Quang Ninh but also of Vietnam and in the region, Vice Chairwoman suggested a number of important tasks that the University should pay attention to, for example: raising the quality and scale of innovations in education and training to meet the society’s increasing demands; enhancing scientific research, technology tranfer and networking with enterprises in training, etc.
