Quang Ninh started upgrading Tran Quoc Nghien coastal ring-road (from Bai Tho Bridge to the connection point of Ha Long – Cam Pha Coastal Ring Road) on July 20th 2019. As planned, it will be completed prior to Lunar New Year 2020, forming a coastal transport chain and a tourist attraction.
The upgrading of Tran Quoc Nghien Coastal Ring Road is based on the current one with 4.7 km in length. The road surface is upgraded to 6 lanes from 4 current lanes. The left pavement is 5m wide while the 28m-wide one on the right is designed with a park, providing people a space to admire Ha Long Bay.
The right pavement expanded to the sea is also a highlight of Tran Quoc Nghien Coastal Ring Road. There will be trees and decorative plants, open space for people to do exercise and physical sports, go sightseeing and relax,… with smart lighting systems. Accordingly, this area will be arranged in 5 different topics, namely welcoming, culture, history, entertainment, and beach. There is a strong connection among topics to maximize the beauty of Ha Long Bay and help local people and tourists be interactive and connected with eco-surroundings.
Quang Ninh is also completing legal procedures to carry out large-scale transport projects like Cua Luc Bay Tunnel, Ha Long Ha Long – Cam Pha Coastal Ring Road, Bai Tho Road …These projects not only facilitate local people’s travelling and boost socio-economic development but also pose aesthetic and architectural values. Once Tran Quoc Nghien Ring Road completed, it will be a long and beautiful ring road, stretching from Bai Chay, Ha Long to Cam Pha, a high-ranked tourism axis connecting Ha Long Bay and Bai Tu Long Bay, tourist attractions, entertainment areas, and resorts. Besides, it will reduce traffic load on National Road 18.
