In order to implement the Prime Minister’s Directive No. 16/CT-TTg and the province’s guidelines on urgent measures against Covid-19 during the peak period, Ha Long City has taken actions at public areas, especially at traditional markets.
Accordingly, the municipal steering committee on Covid-19 prevention and control requires the control of people flow at 23 large markets; postpones the operation of four kermises; shut down all auxiliary gates and paths to markets; encourages the shutdown of non-essential stores. At the entrance of the markets, “Covid-19 highly risk area” notices are placed.
Also at the entrance, functional bodies check shoppers’ body temperature, help them make health declarations, and even provide free hand sanitizer gel.
The steering committee also arranges functional groups to remind shoppers and traders to wear face masks and keep a distance of at least two meters from one another, not allow the elderly and children to go into the markets…
Tighter management of activities at public areas, especially at markets, to prevent Covid-19 infection and spread will be imposed by Ha Long City until Apr 15th or based upon the next official guidelines.
