Ha Long city, Nov. 2, Ha Long Bay Department has organized a conference to sum up the program on collaboration with Wande Group (Guangxi, China) to promote and mobilize people to vote for Ha Long Bay as one of the new seven natural wonders of the world in Nan Ning city (Guangxi, China). Mrs. Vu Thi Thu Thuy, vice-chairwoman of QNPPC attended and chaired the conference.
As reported by Ha Long Bay Department, with the support of relevant functional sectors of Guangxi (China) and Quang Ninh (Vietnam), especially the enthusiastic assistance of directorate and staff members of the Wande Group, Ha Long Bay Department has successfully completed its tasks of propagating and mobilizing people in Nan Ning city, Guangxi province to vote for Ha Long bay.
Within three months, the Department has sent ten delegations to Nan Ning city to mobilize and guide people to vote for Ha Long Bay as one of the new seven natural wonders of the world. As a result, Ha Long Bay has received 12,500 international votes, of which 5,000 votes from staff members of the Wande Group and their relatives.
Speaking at the meeting, Mrs. Vu Thi Thu Thuy highly appreciated the outcome of this program. She emphasized that the success is that the program has encouraged the international community in general and Chinese people in particular to further understand about Ha Long bay and gained their love for the Bay. Additionally, it also creates a great cooperation opportunity for the two provinces to develop tourism, services and trade.
Mrs.Vice-chairwoman of QNPPC sincerely thanked the leaders and people of Guangxi Zshuang Autonomous Region, (Nan Ning city), especially the Wande Group and relevant departments and sectors for their strong support by providing the best conditions so that the beauty and values of the Bay and Quang Ninh tourism were actively introduced to the Chinese people. She hopes that in the coming time the two sides will continuously collaborate with each other to propagate and boost the image of their landscapes to their people and international friends, especially vote for Ha Long Bay.
