Joining hands with Quang Ninh province in COVID 19 prevention and control, many hotel owners in the province have received isolated Vietnamese citizens and foreigners from disease-hit areas, offering them good accommodation facilities.
Implementing the task assigned by the Government, from Feb 2020, QuangNinh’s Van Don International Airport received flights bringing hundreds of Vietnamese citizens and foreigners from Covid 19 hardest – hit areas such as China, South Korea and Europe. As of Mar 16, Quang Ninh received and isolated more than 2,300 people.
With the hope of sharing difficulties with Quang Ninh province and joining hands with the community in Covid 19 prevention and control, Bao Minh Radiant Hotel in Hung Thang ward, Ha Long city pioneered to be a medical isolation area for foreigners from disease-hit areas to Vietnam. From Mar 1 until now, Bao Minh Radiant Hotel has received 157 passengers, including 129 Korean, on the flights from South Korea to Van Don. To ensure the best services for passengers during the isolation period, the hotel’s staff members have been hard working in three shifts, providing three meals a day. All meals with diverse menu including Indian, European, Japanese and even vegetarian food are served, meeting visitors’ taste.
Launched in Nov., 2019, with the total investment cost of hundreds of bil. VND, Thai Son four-star hotel in Hung Thang ward, Ha Long city, has operated few months before the Covid 19 outbreak, causing a sharp decline in hotel revenue. Contributing to reducing the burden on the province, the hotel also decided to reserve all 139 rooms for medical isolation and reduce 50% of the room price for more than 100 guests who are performing medical isolation.
Besides Bao Minh Radiant and Thai Son hotels, currently, nearly other ten accommodation establishments also accompaning the province in undertaking medical isolation for people back from disease-hit areas. Amid the complicated development of Covid 19, these meaningful actions show high responsibility of each organization and individual to the society. Hopefully, the heartwarming actions continue to be expanded, contributing to quickly combating the disease.
