First flight from Can Tho city landed at Van Don International Airport
An air route connecting Quang Ninh province with the Mekong Delta city of Can Tho officially opened. The very first flight departing from Can Tho city landed at Van Don International Airport at 8.20am this morning.
In the reverse direction, the first flight from Van Don took off at 8.55am this morning and landed at Tra Noc International Airport at 11.30 am.
The air route is expected to contribute to promoting trade, economy and tourism between two localities as well as two key economic regions.
Can Tho is the center of the Mekong Delta, a gateway to the rich Southwest region with many typical cultural and economic features.
Meanwhile, Quang Ninh is the leading development province in the northeast economic region and housing the world natural heritage of Ha Long Bay and other famous tourism hotspots such as the Yen Tu Complex of Monuments and Landscapes, and Bai Tu Long bay.
