Thanh Cong Viet Hung Automobile Factory, invested in by Thanh Cong Group, has so far completed most of its construction work. The factory has currently been in the trial operation phase and is expected to be inaugurated in the second quarter of 2025.
The Thanh Cong Viet Hung Automobile Factory, located in Viet Hung Industrial Park, Ha Long City, Quang Ninh Province, is a significant project by Thanh Cong Group. Spanning 36.5 hectares, the factory boasts a production capacity of 120,000 vehicles per year. It is set to manufacture and assemble Škoda brand cars, marking a collaboration between the Czech automobile manufacturer and Thanh Cong Group.
The plant will specialize in assembling B-segment SUVs and sedans, with its products expected to reach the market shortly after production begins.
Spanning 36.5 hectares, the factory boasts a production capacity of 120,000 vehicles per year. It is set to manufacture and assemble Škoda brand cars, marking a collaboration between the Czech automobile manufacturer and Thanh Cong Group.The main facilities of the factory have been completed, including the welding, painting, assembly, and electromechanical workshops, as well as auxiliary structures such as the LPG station, compressed air station, and test track. The factory is conducting trial operations and it is set to begin assembling B-segment SUVs and sedans in early 2025.The entire factory system is equipped with modern facilities, operating under an automated mechanism to meet the development trends of the global automotive industry.Experts are fine-tuning the equipment during the trial operation period.Robotic arms are equipped to handle the assembly process with intricate and complex details to ensure that vehicles are manufactured to meet the exact design standards.The chassis systems of Škoda-branded vehicles are being thoroughly inspected by experts before being put into mass assembly.The factory is designed with a fully integrated production and assembly line from leading partners such as Chropynska, Wipro Pari, and Durr. This ensures that all operations fully meet international quality standards, environmental protection standards, and the capacity to produce new vehicle models in the future.Quang Ninh will officially have its first automobile factory in operation in the second quarter of 2025. This is of great significance as it not only produces high value-added products that contribute to the state budget but also helps realize the government's goal of increasing the localization rate and enhancing the autonomy of automobile production in Vietnam.
