On July 1, in Ha Long city, over 200 candidates who are Youth Union memebers, students and pupils in Quang Ninh participated in the final round of the English Speaking and Informatics Contest 2019 which was jointly held by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Quang Ninh province; Education and Training Department of Quang Ninh and Ha Long University.
Joining the 8th English Speaking Contest with the theme “Proud of the World Natural Wonder Ha Long Bay”, the candidates made presentation in English about the Ha Long BayWorld Heritage Site. The contestants was devided into 4 groups, including Group A (for Elementary shool pupils); Group B (for Junior High School pupils); Group C (for High school students) and Group D (for officials and youth union members).
In the 20th Young Talent in Informatics contest, they had to take part in the two sections, namely informatics skills and creative software.
At the announcement ceremony, 4 first prizes, 8 second prizes, 11 third prizes and 19 encouraging prizes were granted to the winners of the English Speaking Contest meanwhile 4 first prizes, 8 second prizes, 14 third prizes and 43 encouraging prizes belonged to those of the young talents in Informatics contest.There was only one first prize awarded to the one of the young talents in informatics contest for officials.
