Domestic travel reopens with safeguards

After a month-long closedown in combat agaisnt Covid-19 spreading, all tourist attractions and service establisments have been permitted to reoperated across Quang Ninh province on condition that they all conform to defined regulations on Covid-19 prevention and control.

The staff of Quang Ninh Museum have already cleaned and disinfected the entire exhibition space and proactively taken other measures to prevent the Covid-19 epidemic so as to ensure the safety of visitors. The museum has also rearranged artifacts and exibition items to offer visitors new experience.

“In order to be ready to reopen in the new normal, we have set up detailed plans in terms of resources and Covid-19 prevention at ticket booths and sightseeing points inside and outside the museum. Also, travellers will be asked to maintain physical distancing, disinfect hands and wear masks during their tour around this attraction, said Mr. Kieu Dinh Son, Director of Quang Ninh Museum.

At Tuan Chau International Passenger Port, the working area of ​​Ha Long Bay Management Board and functional forces has been upgraded, bringing the sense of convenience and safety to tourists visiting Ha Long Bay. The procedure of welcoming guests will be implemented in line with all regulations on Covid-19 prevention and control.

According to Mr. Le Duc Cuu, Deputy Director of the Center for Tourism Operations Management (under Ha Long Bay Management Board), the port campus has been already cleaned and disinfected. Ship owners and tourists are also asked to strictly implement Covid-19 prevention measures during the tour. At the same time, all staff working at the port has been injected with Covid-19 vaccines to and fully equipped with medical equipment to ensure epidemic prevention.

Beside tourist attractions, cafés, restaurants, and sport facilities have also strictly implemented preventive measures in accordance with the province’s guidelines. Ms. Vu Thi Hong Thoa, the owner of a cafe in Bai Chay ward, Ha Long city, revealed that her establishment had only sold takeaway products for one month. She also commited to obey all defined regulations on Covid-19 prevention and control in the “new normal” situation and pay special attention to the maintanance of physical distancing inside the café.

Currently, tourist attractions, food and drink services and sport facilities across the province have all reopened with safeguards.

Cities and districts in the province have also strengthened safety inspection and supervision at these places and establishments.
