Dam Ha is a disadvantaged mountainous, coastal district. In comparison with other localities in Quang Ninh, it is not bestowed with potential for socio-economic development. However, its regional planning has been approved by the province, making it as an important foundation for the district’s development, especially in attracting investors.
Over the years, Dam Ha District has coordinated with provincial departments and branches to strengthen investment promotion. The district also makes preferential policies to focus on infrastructure investment, performs administrative reform, provides support in land clearance and policies relating to taxation and land, and attract strategic investors in high-tech agriculture at planned regions of the district.
As a result, total social investment capital in the first half of the year was estimated at 275 billion VND, equal to 54% of the years’ plan and an increase of 32% over the same period last year. Business environment has been improved. Its DDCI Index 2018 jumped to 7th rank among 14 localities. Since the beginning of 2019, the district’s working groups have made farm trips on organic agriculture investment and development in Ha Noi and cinnamon product in Yen Bai…A number of both domestic and international investors have come to Dam Ha to seek for investment opportunities in agriculture and tourism, namelyTH-True Milk Group, GFS Group, Tan Hoang Minh Group, CTBIO Vietnam Joint-stock Company, GVA Corporation, Thai Binh Duong High Technology Agriculture Joint Stock Company… The district is now implementing such projects as Vietnam – Australia shrimp breeding, Da Dung Disland Eco-Area, Thai Binh Duong high-tech pig raising, ALOHA MALL
In accordance with the district’s plan No 76/KH-UBND dated April 26th 2019 on improving investment and business environment and DDCI Index 2019, the district focuses on luring strategic investors in high-tech agriculture with the aim of building the district as a hub of agricultural product processing and producing.
