After 11 days since the lightning struck transmission lines to Co To Island district, with great efforts, the local authority and specialists have picked up the fault electrical equipments.
The fault electrical equipment will be replaced by the the new one on June 28. As planned, the wholy Co To island district will get electricity by June 29.
Lightning has damaged the 22KV power transmission line that provides electricity for Co To island district and five communes of Van Don island district in Quang Ninh, disrupting electricity supply for the islands since June 18.
Despite the difficult terrains and unfavourable weather conditions, the local electricity sector has done their best in an effort to tackle the problem. Workers and vehicles have been intensified to search for and repair the fault cable.
