Along with other 10 racing teams, “Ha Long Bay - Vietnam” clipper set sail from from St Katharine Docks in London, the UK for the 2019-2020 season.
The first leg of the race, from London to Host Port Portimão in Portugal, is expected to run for 6-8 days. The 2nd will take place on Sept 15th from Portuguese Marina de Portimo Port to Uruguay’s Punta del Este Port.
Clipper Round the World Yacht Race is the longest of its kind in the world with 40,000-nautical miles. The 2019-2020 season consists of 15 races, bringing clippers to the world-famous ports, namey Portimao in Potugal, Cape Town in South Africa, Subic Bay in the Philippines, Panama in Pacific, Newyork/New Jersey in the USA…This is the first time Quang Ninh has joined the race. It will take part in the race for the next season and be a host place during the race.
