On Oct 24th, in Hoanh Bo District, a central delegation led by Deputy Minister of Home Affairs, Tran Anh Tuan, had a working session with Quang Ninh’s leaders on the arrangement of administrative units.
At the working session, the central delegation gave their ideas on and clarified some contents in arranging administrative units at district and communal levels in Quang Ninh. They paid special concern to the efficiency, influence and the organization of local government after rearrangement, especially the merger of Hoanh Bo District into Ha Long City.
On his remark at the working session, Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party’s Committee, cum Chairman of the Quang Ninh Provincial People’s Council, Nguyen Xuan Ky, thanked contributive ideas raised by the central delegation. He affirmed that those ideas would be summed up and added to the plan of merger.
The Secretary also emphasized that Quang Ninh had mentioned the administrative boundary expansion of Ha Long City for 3 times. However, now is the right time to carry out the project. Quang Ninh is actively implement administrative unit arrangement on the basis of high consensus among political system, local people. Quang Ninh’s point of view during the process of merging is that development must go with environmental protection.
