Anti-plastic waste movement launched in Uong Bi City

In the morning of Sep. 7, a movement called “anti-plastic waste and clean up the environment” was launched at Yen Trung Lake eco-tourism complex, Uong Bi city.

At the launching ceremony, the Movement Organization Board disseminated information about harmful impacts of plastic waste on the environment and people's health; at the same time, calling for both officials and locals to take practical and specific actions to fight against plastic waste and plastic waste pollution, firstly stop using single-use plastic products.

After the launching ceremony, a large number of officials and local people joined hands to collect plastic waste in an attempt to clean up the environment at the Yen Trung Lake eco-tourism site and planted 1,000 flower plants on Tan Lap street in Phuong Dong ward, thereby bringing a new look for a green, clean and beautiful urban landscape of the city.
