On the morning of September 18th, An Sinh Temple Festival 2019 took place at Trai Loc Hamlet, An Sinh Commune, Dong Trieu District. The festival was attended by Quang Ninh’s Vice-chairwoman, Vu Thi Thu Thuy, scientists, representative leaders from relevant departments and localities as well as local people and tourists.
An Sinh Temple, built in the 14th century, worships 8 kings of Tran Dynasty whose tombs lie in An Sinh Commune. The temple is within the Tran Dynasty Historical Relics Complex in Dong Trieu. It was recognized as national historical relic in 1962 and special national historical relic in 2013.
An Sinh Temple Festival, running from Sept 18th to 19th, consists of ritual part and festive part with a number of cultural and sport activities. A new feature about this year’s festival is OCOP product displayed during the event.
The annual festival is an opportunity for Dong Trieu Town’s people and pilgrims to pay tribute to kings of Tran Dynasty and ancestors who made great contribution to national construction and protection.
