A series of key construction projects have been completed in celebration of the 60th founding anniversary of Quang Ninh province.

The project to upgrade and expand Quang Ninh provincial Lung Hospital in Cao Xanh ward

The project covers a total area of 25,900 m2, including over 7,400 m2 of construction land. It has three apartment buildings, including two 19-storey buildings and one 17-story building with a total construction floor area of about 125,220 m2.

With a total investment of about VND1.3 trillion (US$52.3 million), the project was among key social housing initiatives in Quang Ninh.

The photovoltaic cell technology project invested by Jinko Solar Technology Ltd of Hong Kong

The 31.3-hectare facility is one of the few projects in Quang Ninh to have completed procedures and received an investment certificate within only 24 hours after submission of documents. 

Once preferential policies expire, the project will contribute VND1.4 trillion ($57.1 million) to the state budget annually.

The factory, located in Song Khoai Industrial Park, is set to generate revenue of VND100 trillion ($4.07 billion) per year and employ 4,500 people.

At the company's inauguration ceremony on Sunday, Quang Ninh authorities also granted an investment certificate to another project invested by Jinko Solar, a $1.5 billion solar cell complex.

The newly-built school built on a nearly 2,8 hectares has two 4-storey classroom blocks, one 4-storey administrative block, two parking garages and a road connecting the school to Highway 279. 

There is also a new multi-purpose building with an area of ​​640 m2. The system of modern facilities is expected to improve the teaching and learning efficiency of thousands of teachers and students.

With a total investment capital of VND 250 billion, the 9-storey building has a total usable floor area of over 14,2 thousand square meters. The Quang Ninh CDC, under the direct control of the municipal Department of Health, provides counselling and organise activities on disease prevention and health risk reduction. The centre also plays an important role in managing community health.

Quang Ninh Provincial Geriatrics - Rehabilitation Hospital

Covering more than four hectares, the facility will have wards for medical examination, diagnostic imaging, testing, physiotherapy, treatment and rehabilitation.

The hospital will be built towards environmental-friendly model to ensure the best atmosphere for the elderly.

The costs of the 200-bed hospital are estimated at VNĐ429 billion (US$18,650), with the provincial Department of Health being the main investor.
