On Nov. 23, Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee held its 44 meeting to evaluate the results of the 2019 performance and 2020 tasks as well as discuss other important issues. Secretary of Quang Ninh Provincial Party’s Committee cum Chairman of Provincial People’s Council Nguyen Xuan Ky presided over the meeting.
The provincial Party Committee unanimously agreed with positive and comprehensive results achieved in 2019. Notably, the economic growth is estimated at 12%, the highest rate ever. State budget collection is estimated at 44 tril.VND, a 8.5% year on year increase, up 12.6% compared to the central budget allocation. Service and mining sectors have seen a high growth and the coal industry has greatly contributed to provincial socio-economic development. Business investment environment and competitiveness have been improved. Social security and social welfare have been ensured. Social culture and new rural construction have made great progress.
Regarding the 2020 tasks, the delegates agreed that the economic growth target of over 12% and the budget collection of 50 tril.VND.
