156 new coronavirus cases confirmed in Quang Ninh

A total of 156 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Quang Ninh on Dec.29.

Quang Ninh authorities announced the confirmation of 156 new Covid-19 patients residing in Cam Pha city (5 cases), Mong Cai (7 cases), Ha Long (19 cases), Uong Bi (21 cases), Quang Yen (44 cases), and Dong Trieu (60 cases) in the evening of December 29. 114 cases were detected within the community.

The widespread Covid-19 testing has been carried out at high-risk areas. Thousands of people are now in concentrated quarantine areas and self-isolate at home and other accommodations in accordance with Ministry of Health’s directions.

958 F0s have been under treatment at hospitals and health clinics in the province, 478 cases have been treated in concentrated quarantine areas and 289 cases at home.

Quang Ninh has already launched 21 programs of vaccination against Covid-19 for over 1,1 million people. Notably, more than 119,700 people have so far received the third shots of Covid-19 vaccine.
