Vietnamese language certificates presented to Lao students

On August 25, in Vang Danh Ward, Ha Long University held a ceremony to conclude the 14th Vietnamese language training course and present Vietnamese language certificates to 108 Lao students.

The training course lasted 10 months. The university provided Vietnamese language training from Level 1 to Level 4, with a total of 960 class periods, and assigned all lecturers from the Department of Literature and Vietnamese for foreigners under the Faculty of Education to teach the course.

At the end of the course, 102 of the 108 students achieved Vietnamese proficiency at Level 4 or above under the Vietnamese Language Proficiency Framework for Foreigners, qualifying them to continue their undergraduate studies in Vietnam. Of these, 22 Lao students chose to continue their studies at Quang Ninh University of Industry, while 80 students chose to continue their studies in various majors at Ha Long University.

On this occasion, the university also honoured 20 Lao students for their outstanding academic achievements in the 2025–2026 academic year.

Since 2012, Ha Long University has organised 14 Vietnamese language training courses and awarded basic Vietnamese language certificates to foreigners from Laos, Japan, China and other countries.
