Vietnam to host 27th ASEAN Federation of Cardiology Congress in November
The 27th ASEAN Federation of Cardiology Congress (AFCC) 2023 will take place from November 2 to 5 at the National Convention Centre in Hanoi under the theme ‘Cardiovascular Intersection: Challenges and Opportunities’.
The event is expected to attract the participation of more than 2,000 domestic and foreign delegates, including around 300 leading cardiovascular experts from countries with advanced medical backgrounds around the world as well as in the ASEAN region.
The congress will focus on cardiovascular disease management in the context of multiple comorbidities, based on newly advanced interventions and technology, artificial intelligence, and telemedicine, with the limited resources of ASEAN and by collaborating with other developed foreign partners and countries.
The AFCC 2023 will include 80 scientific sessions, presenting a total of 750 reports. In addition to common topics such as Cardiovascular Interventions, Echocardiography, and Cardiac Arrhythmia Treatments, this year’s congress will also feature in-depth scientific sessions with the participation of experts from the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography & Interventions (SCAI) and the European Society of Cardiology (ESC).
According to the Vietnam Society of Cardiology, the AFCC 2023 will provide a great opportunity for doctors in Vietnam and in the region to exchange and update information and techniques in many fields involving cardiology.
