Tuan Chau unveils the magical “Night Cruise Street” on Ha Long Bay
On June 1, the Ha Long Tourist Boat Association officially launched a brand-new experience: “Night Cruise Street” at Tuan Chau International Passenger Port. This is a unique journey inviting visitors to discover the mesmerizing beauty of Ha Long Bay under the stars.
Operating daily from 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM, the night cruise follows the stunning Route No. 8 (announced by Quang Ninh Province in 2024), taking guests from Tuan Chau International Port to Ha Long International Port and Nam Cau Trang Port. This is not just a tour, it's a cultural voyage across water and wonder.
This new route invites guests to experience the dazzling beauty of Ha Long City after dark, admire iconic landmarks, and enjoy a rich blend of cultural performances, artistic showcases, and local cuisine, all onboard modern, fully equipped cruise vessels.
The boats serving this experience are newly built steel-hull cruises, replacing traditional wooden ones in line with Official Document No. 6588/UBND-XD2 (dated September 12, 2019), which outlines the modernization of tour boats operating in Ha Long Bay and Bai Tu Long Bay. The upgrade ensures a safer, more comfortable journey for all passengers.
In order to elevate the experience further, Tuan Chau International Passenger Port has been upgraded with a newly redesigned terminal, expanded piers, charming OCOP craft and souvenir stalls, and a festive atmosphere that embraces tradition with a modern touch.
Originally piloted in 2022 at Ha Long International Passenger Port, the Night Cruise Street quickly proved its appeal. It’s more than a new tourism product as it’s a nightlife highlight of Ha Long, a celebration of culture, and a shining example of Vietnam’s thriving night-time economy.
