Tuan Chau completes best preparations for SEA Games 31

With the beautiful space and the best preparations, the Tuan Chau International Tourist Complex promises to help the tournament be a great success while promoting Quang Ninh tourism.

During the 31st Southeast Asia Games (SEA Games 31), Quang Ninh is the second most used venue after Ha Noi. The province will host handball, chess, women’s football, indoor volleyball, Chinese chess, beach volleyball, and the triathlon, slated from May 6-22, with over 1,400 athletes.

At SEA Games 31, Tuan Chau is scheduled to host beach volleyball, beach handball, and triathlon. The Tuần Châu Group has invested VNĐ25 billion (US$1.1 million) in upgrading sports facilities for competitions at the Games. There will also be a wide array of street food available.

With an area of around 250-hectare, Tuan Chau Island has strongly impressed both domestic and foreign tourists with the scenic beauty of soft white sand and crystal-clear blue waters as well as a wide selection of top-notch amenities and exhilarating entertainment activities.

Blessed with stunning white-sand beaches stretching 6km surrounded by green pine forests, Tuan Chau has become an ideal venue for large-scale beach sports tournaments such as Vietnam Television Beach Volleyball Tournament, the Asian Women Beach Volleyball Championships, etc.

Beside such magnificent beaches, a must-see attraction on the island is Tuan Chau International Amusement Park covering a total area of ​​20 hectares. This is a true wonderland for tourists to enjoy to their fullest. Apart from a kid-friendly games world, a range of amazing activities are also offered to thrill-seekers such as a roller coaster, sky drop, etc. The amusement park holds several marvelous water shows with dolphins, seals, crocodiles and sea lions.

Covering an area of 200 hectares with its berth length of more than 10 kilometers, the system of Tuan Chau International Passenger Port is a prominent highlight, adorning and honoring the value of Tuan Chau International Tourist Area as well as the World Wonder of Ha Long Bay. This is the most modern passenger port in Southeast Asia and the first ever one of its kind in Vietnam.

The port has been named on international tourism map and currently become the “entrance gate” to Ha Long Bay as well as an important bridge connecting Quang Ninh tourism services to the world.

In this modern tourist space, the senery of hundreds of modern yacht anchoring at Tuan Chau Habour brings out a wonderful picture. The harbor has a berthing length of 1,900 meters and a depth of 12 meters, therefore, 300 yachts can anchor at the same time.  It is expected that this harbor can be connected with the marina system in other nations, contributing to the regional economic integration and cultural exchanges through sea routes connecting Hong Kong, Singapore, China, Philippines, Japan, etc.

Close to the port is Tuan Chau-Cat Ba Ferry Terminal, the only and shortest sea route connecting the two heritage regions, the Ha Long Bay World Natural Heritage and Wonder in Quang Ninh province and Cat Ba island in the adjacent city of Hai Phong city.

Tuan Chau international tourist area also offers visitors with seaplane flight services with the unique experience of seeing a giant, vivid and exquisite Ha Long Bay from above. An aerial view of nearly 2,000 limestone islands jutting out from the emerald green water spreading over an area of ​​nearly 2,000 square kilometers leaves any nature-lovers with an overwhelming and distinct impression.

Tuan Chau Golf Course occupies a prime location with a view overlooking Ha Long Bay world natural heritage and a picturesque landscape in surrounding areas. The 143-hectare golf course includes multi-function buildings with accommodations, dining, shopping for golfers and audiences and a car park. There are both 9-hole and 18-hole golf courses that satisfy international standards. The terrain of each golf hole has its own challenges and interesting, but the common point is that all views are facing the beautiful Ha Long sea, creating a liberal and free game. The course can also be used simultaneously for around 150 golfers at the same time. Especially, with a comprehensive lighting system, Tuan Chau Golf Course will give golfers the opportunity to experience a round of golf in the late afternoon or even in the evening in a poetic coastal setting.
