Ti Top beach named one of 100 best beaches in the world
Ti Top beach in UNESCO heritage site Ha Long Bay was named one of 100 best beaches in the world by Australian magazine Lonely Planet.
It was the only representative in Vietnam to break into the list that saw a total of 14 representatives from Asia.
Covering a total area of 3.7 hectares, Ti Top Island is one of the smallest islands making up Halong Bay. The mesmerizing view and its prime location contribute to the highlights of Ti Top Beach, which allures a large number of tourists each year.
Titov Island was named “Sand in the Sun”. On Jan. 22, 1962, President Ho Chi Minh and the astronaut of the Soviet Union Gherman Titov visited the island, President Ho renamed the island to the name of the astronaut.
On this island, there is a crescent-shaped beach that surrounds the foot of the mountain, small but airy. All year round, the beach is clean and clear and the sand is always white as it is washed by tides.
In the middle of the island is a small path leading to Ti-Top peak with more than 400 stone steps.
In Asia, White Sandy Beach in Maldives, Pink Beach in Indonesia, Pacifico Beach in the Philippines, Hat Tham PhraNang and Secret Beach in Thailand also made onto the list.
