Thursday’s COVID-19 count hits new record
The Ministry of Health confirmed 3,227 new infection cases this evening, raising the COVID-19 tally on Thursday to a new record of 6,194.
The latest patients comprise 28 imported cases and 3,199 domestic infections in 28 localities, namely Ho Chi Minh City (1,785), Binh Duong (615), Dong Nai (157), Long An (199), Dong Thap (117), Ba Ria – Vung Tau (63), Ha Noi (48), Can Tho (42), Ben Tre (37), Tien Giang (27), Binh Thuan (26), Phu Yen (21), Tra Vinh (9), Soc Trang (8 ), Bac Ninh (7), Hau Giang (7), Dak Lak (6), Khanh Hoa (5), Quang Nam (5), Binh Dinh (4), Vinh Phuc (2), Dak Nong (2), Hung Yen (2), Kon Tum (1), Lao Cai (1), Kien Giang (1), Quang Ngai (1), and Ha Tinh (1).
Of the domestic cases, 819 were detected in community, according to the ministry.
The above patients take the national caseload to 74,371.
The ministry also reported that 1,450 further patients were discharged from hospitals, bringing the total number of recoveries to 13,421.
