Strengthening the fight against smuggling and commercial fraud

The Provincial Steering Committee 389 has intensified the fight against smuggling and commercial fraud on the occassion of the forthcoming New Year 2023, including physical inspections and investigation in key areas of smuggling, commercial fraud and counterfeiting.

The Provincial Steering Committee against smuggling, commercial fraud and counterfeiting (called as the Provincial Steering Committee 389) urged all localities and relevant departments to strengthen inspections and control to effectively detect and prevent smuggling activities, commercial fraud and counterfeiting.

The Police Force, Market Management Force and Specialized Inspectors have carried out functional tasks such as manage and coordinate with relevant units to tightly control the domestic market, strengthen inspections to detect manufacturing of counterfeit goods, promote inspections and specialized inspections on business conditions, compliance of tax, invoices and receipts, origin of goods, labeling and product quality standards.

The Customs Force and Border Guard Force have also coordinated to control, detect and handle acts of smuggling and illegal transportation of goods across the border, commercial fraud at auxiliary gates, trails, crossings, canals and rivers; and strictly control goods and luggage of passengers entering and exiting border gates.
