It is reported that from the beginning of the year to date, the commerce of counterfeit goods tend to decrease due to the impacts of Covid-19 pandemic. However, in some localities, smugglers have sold fake goods on digital platforms and made use of express delivery services, posing many risks to consumers and making it hard for the authorities to control the real situation. Meanwhile, the legal framework in these areas is incomplete, causing difficulties in the application of the law.

Therefore, the provincial Market Management Department has focused on synchronously and drastically implementing a series of solutions to fight against counterfeit fraud. Prominently, the department has closely formulated various action plans with practical scenarios basing on the guideline issued by the General Market Management Department.

Individuals and businesses have been kept well-informed with updated information and legal documents regarding this issue. So far, 98% of supermarkets and trade centers, along with 100% of businesses at traditional markets, have committed to rejecting fake goods.

Some teams specializing on e-commerce supervision are established to timelily detect illegal activities as well as make feasible proposals on controlling the market on the electronic platform.
