Quang Ninh won the bronze medal at the National Drama Festival 2021
On Nov. 17, the National Drama Festival 2021 officially wrapped up in Hai Phong city. The event was jointly organized by the Department of Performing Arts under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Vietnam Association of Theater Artists, and the Hai Phong Department of Culture and Sports.
The festival attracted the participation of 14 delegations with over 600 artists and actors performing 20 plays. Quang Ninh Art Troupe performed the play named "Holy Mountain" written by the scriptwriter Chu Thom and directed by People's Artist Tran Ngoc Giau.
The script depicts the sacrifices and hardships in the process of cultivating and founding the Truc Lam Yen Tu Zen sect of Buddha Emperor Tran Nhan Tong. The play affirms that Yen Tu is the land of Buddha, the capital of Vietnamese Buddhism and spreads the incarnation spirit of Truc Lam Yen Tu Zen sect.
The Arts Council proposed to award 28 Gold Medals, 42 Silver Medals and 16 Bronze Medals to actors. At the same time, the Organizing Committee also awarded 6 Gold Medals, 3 Silver Medals, 7 Bronze Medals for the Performances and the Best Awards to authors, directors, musicians and artists.
Quang Ninh Art Troupe won bronze medals for the play "Holy Mountain" and 4 medals awarded to actors including 1 gold, 2 silver, and 1 bronze.
