Quang Ninh won 9 medals, ranked 5th at the National Excellent Archery Championship 2022

Quang Ninh archery delegation is ranked 5 out of 16 teams participating in the National Excellent Archery Championship 2022 held in Thua Thien - Hue on March 1-6.  

Jointly organized by the General Department of Sports (under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) and the Department of Culture and Sports of Thua Thien - Hue province, the event attracted the participation of over 190 athletes from 16 provinces, cities and organzations country wide.

Archers competed for 36 sets of medals in compound and recurve categories namely men's individual, women's individual, men's team, women's team and mixed team.

There were 11 athletes in Quang Ninh delegation led by the coach Dang Thi Nhan. They excellently won 9 medals including 4 gold medals, 4 silver medals and 1 bronze medal. In which, 4 gold medals belong to Le Pham Ngoc Anh (knockout content, women's 3-string bow), Le Pham Ngoc Anh - Dinh Phuong Thao - Chau Kieu Oanh - Nguyen Minh Thu (teammate, female 3-string bow), Pham Ngoc Tu - Le Pham Ngoc Anh (Male and mixed doubles, 3-string bow), and Nguyen Trung Duc - Pham Ngoc Tu - Le Pham Ngoc Anh - Chau Kieu Oanh (combined teammate, 3-string bow).

Therefore, Quang Ninh delegation ranked 5th among the total 13 provinces and cities participating in the tournament.

The tourmament is not only an occasion for athletes to compete and improve their techniques, but also an opportunity for the organizer to select members for the national team in preparation for regional and international events.
