Quang Ninh Party Secretary received former Korean Ambassador to Vietnam

On September 8, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee, and Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, Mr. Vu Dai Thang, received former Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Vietnam, Park Noh Wan, along with representatives of Korean businesses exploring opportunities in the province.

Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee, and Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, Mr. Vu Dai Thang, hosted a courtesy meeting with former Korean Ambassador to Vietnam Park Noh Wan and representatives of Korean businesses exploring cooperation opportunities in Quang Ninh.

During the meeting, Mr. Park Noh Wan commended Quang Ninh’s socio-economic achievements and its efforts to foster cooperation with Korean localities, enterprises, and organizations in recent years.

He also introduced key highlights of the Grand Slam Ha Long project which was being jointly implemented by Korean and Vietnamese businesses. The project aims to promote cultural and tourism exchanges between Quang Ninh and the Saemangeum Coastal Economic Zone (Korea), with a particular focus on showcasing Ha Long Bay as a heritage destination. The event is scheduled to take place in November 2025.

Quang Ninh Party Secretary Vu Dai Thang expressed appreciation for the interest of Korean enterprises in Quang Ninh, particularly in advancing the province’s cultural industries, a new sector with significant growth potential.

He affirmed that Quang Ninh would direct relevant departments and agencies to provide the best possible support for project implementation.

He also expressed his hope that Mr. Park Noh Wan, in his role as a bridge between Korean organizations and Quang Ninh, would continue to promote cooperation, especially in organizing activities to introduce Quang Ninh’s tourism to Korean visitors. He further emphasized opportunities for partnership in areas of mutual strength such as ecological agriculture and high-tech industries.
