Quang Ninh welcomed around 290,000 tourist arrivals during 6-day Tet
According to the provincial Department of Tourism, the total visitor arrivals to attractions and historical sites across Quang Ninh province reached about 289,661 within 6 days of Tet from Feb.1.
Notably, the Complex of Yen Tu Monuments and Landscapes in Uong Bi city greeted roughly 55,000 arrivals of tourists and pilgrims. On the peak day, this national special relic site welcomed over 21,000 visitor arrivals - the highest number in the past 2 years since the outbreak of Covid-19 and almost equal to the peak day before Covid-19.
Other attractions and monuments in Uong Bi city welcomed a total of about 45,000 tourist arrivals.
Cam Pha city welcomed about 53,000 visitor arrivals, most of whom visited Cua Ong temple.
Dong Trieu town welcomed about 30,000 visitor arrivals; Van Don welcomes about 25,000 ones.
Ha Long city was among the localities with the low number of visitors, only about 15,000 visitors. However, the number of visitors to Ha Long Bay gradually increased and reached a total of about 5,000 visitor arrivals during 6 days of Tet.
4-5 star hotels such as FLC, Vinpearl, M-gallery Yen Tu, etc. reached 80-90% of capacity during Tet. The average occupancy of other hotels is about 15-17%. The total revenue from tourism activities reached about VND 400 billion.
