Covid-19 checkpoints are required to implement stricter control of people and vehicles going in and out of the province.

In the lastest guidelines issued by the Quang Ninh Provincial People’s Committee on August 19, 2021, Quang Ninh Police and authorities in all levels were assigned to effectively grasp the residential data and the health situation of each household in order that every Covid-19 suspected case can be timelily detected.

Particularly, those who have travelled to or returned from the high-risk areas defined at Directive No. 15/CT- TTg and Directive No. 16/CT- TTg issued by the Vietnamese Prime Minister must undergo 14-day paid quarantine in designated concentrated facilities and 7 days at home under supervision after that.

To be more specific, local authorities are required to carry out general administrative checks in their localities to accurately determine the exact number of residents permanently and temporarily residing in the areas, draw up the detailed list of people coming from other localities, especially those who temporarily live and work at construction sites, dormitories, worker shacks, collective houses, and accommodation establishments.

Since August 20, those entering Quang Ninh province must have negative results of SARS-CoV-2 tested by RT-PCR method within 48 hours from the time of sample collection and a certificate of full vaccination against Covid-19. This is considered the province’s strong move to impede the transmission of this fatal pandemic.

Quang Ninh province has so far undergone 52 days without any new Covid-19 infected cases detected in the community.
