Quang Ninh ranks among Vietnam’s top 5 localities in 2024 Tourism Development Index

Quang Ninh has been ranked 5th among 30 provinces and cities in the Vietnam Provincial Tourism Development Index (VTDI) 2024 report recently released by the Government, earning a score of 4.51 out of 7.

The evaluation was based on 17 pillars and 111 indicators, drawing from surveys of tourism businesses and various quantitative data sources.

The index measures five main groups of indicators: enabling environment (business climate, safety and security, health and hygiene, human resources and labor market, ICT readiness and communications); tourism policy and enabling conditions (tourism prioritization, data collection and sharing, price competitiveness); infrastructure and services (air, ground, and port infrastructure); tourism resources (natural and cultural attractions); tourism sustainability (environment and energy management, socio-economic impact, tourism demand).

The VTDI 2024 was developed by the Private Sector Development Research Board and the Advisory Council for Administrative Procedure Reform under the Prime Minister, aiming to support tourism development and strategic planning at both the provincial and national levels.
