Quang Ninh strengthens security, traffic order control for Reunification Day and SEA Games 31
Nearly 100 officers and soldiers of the Road and Railway Traffic Police Department, under Quang Ninh Police, have been mobilized to ensure the safety for the delegation participating SEA Games 31 as well as maintain the traffic order and safety at some intersections where degates, athletes and fans are scheduled to pass by.
As planned, Quang Ninh will host seven sports during the upcoming 31st Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games 31). These sports including triathlon, women's football, indoor volleyball, beach volleyball, beach handball, Chinese chess, and international chess will take place in Ha Long city, Cam Pha city and Uong Bi city. The province expects to welcome nearly 980 athletes, 400 referees, more than 230 coaches and over 110 members of the organising committee.
In addition, the province has been carrying out a series of activities to promote and stimulate tourism since the beginning of April 2022 inconjunction with various solutions and programs to boost industry development.
The local police will mobilise maximum resources and vehicles to patrol, control and strictly handle violations of traffic order and safety; and effectively use monitoring systems in handling violations, especially in the localities where sport events will be organised such as Ha Long, Uong Bi and Cam Pha cities.
Quang Ninh police are coordinating with relevant units to inspect accommodation facilities for athletes, and competition venues in the locality.
Attention has been also paid to communication activities to raise awareness of traffic safety amongst local residents.
