Quang Ninh sent 500 health workers to support Ha Noi in vaccination, mass testing

On Sept.9, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee cum Vice Chairwoman of the People’s Council, Trinh Thi Minh Thanh attended the farewell ceremony for 500 doctors, nurses, and other health workers who are going to Hanoi to support the capital city in its defined campaigns of vaccination and mass testing.

These fully vaccinated workers have undergone skill training beforehand. This is the 6th time Quang Ninh province has sent medical workers to Covid-19 affected localities in support of their fight against Covid-19.

As planned, Hanoi will test the entire population of the city prior to September 15 to achieve the target of controlling the COVID-19 outbreak by mid-September. The city’s authorities also set the target that all local residents aged 18 and above will receive at least one shot of COVID-19 vaccine by September 15.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee cum Vice Chairwoman of the People’s Council, Trinh Thi Minh Thanh, highly appreciated the strong determined spirit of the delegation as well as the five previous ones who have been ready to devote their competence and energy to the fight against the serious pandemic

She encouraged the team to successfully fulfil their tasks and actively contribute to the combat against Covid-19 in Hanoi city.

Having gone through over 2 months without any new cases detected within the community, Quang Ninh has taken great efforts to effectively halt the skyrocket transmission of Covid-19 and maintain safety for local community through harsh waves of Covid-19 and its outbreak in the majority of cities and provinces nationwide.

The province has so far sent 825 health workers to help Covid-19 hotspots across the country with their fight against this pandemic. With the long-lasting traddition “Discipline and solidarity”, Quang Ninh - based doctors, nurses and medical students have done their utmost to bring safety back to residents and society.
