Quang Ninh province has currently possessed the highest and earliest coverage of the 3rd dose of Covid-19 vaccine nationwide and have been drastically carrying out plenty of safe, flexible adaptation solutions and effective control of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The province, henceforth, determines to resume local tourism activities with the target to welcome roughly 10 million tourist arrivals including 1.5 million international ones.

From the beginning of the year, the provincial authorities have worked with the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, localities and businesses, to develop a programme aiming to restore the tourism industry, and all tourism activities, products, and projects.

As planned, 240 events to stimulate tourism will be organised, including big events, such as the Ha Long Summer Carnival, Ha Long Winter Carnival, Ao Dai Festival, Food festivals, and night markets on the water.

Given the domestic market, the tourism industry will organise roadshow programmes, promoting and introducing Quang Ninh to southern provinces and cities, with later expansion to industrial parks and zones, including the export processing industry, which has a large number of workers.

Regarding the international visitor market, the province continues to coordinate with the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, international organisations in Vietnam and Vietnam's diplomatic organisations abroad, to organise promotional activities on Quang Ninh with new and attractive tourism products; at the same time coordinate with international forums and organisations, of which Quang Ninh tourism is a member, to expand and develop the international tourist market.

In the first half of this year, Quang Ninh has reduced 50 percent of entrance fees to its famous local destinations such as Ha Long Bay, Yen Tu relic site, and Quang Ninh Museum. Travel businesses in Quang Ninh have also paid much attention to diversifying services and products to be able to meet different tastes of visitors when the province totally reopens its door to both domestic and foreign holiday-makers on March 15.
