Quang Ninh promotes IT application in the fight against Covid-19

Quang Ninh has been listed among localities which have actively undertaken synchronous technological solutions to prevent and control Covid-19 pandemic.

The application of information technology in the fight against Covid-19 is one of the Prime Minister's directions on implementing drastic measures in a new situation which requires a shift from preventing to attacking COVID-19 by taking advantage of technological applications. Therefore, Quang Ninh is now one of two provinces that haven’t recorded new cases in the community for 14 days.

In addition to submiting negative PCR test results conducted within 72 hours, each resident only needs to scan a QR code to make a medical declaration at all entry and exit checkpoints in Quang Ninh province, which shortens the time, avoids congestion, and contributes to controlling the situation rapidly and synchronously.

Quang Ninh has also quicky deployed scanning QR codes to manage the information of people entering and exiting offices and crowded places. The province has currently had more than 14,500 QR code control points.

So far, Quang Ninh has almost accomplished the data on vaccination against COVID-19 basing on the database related to population, citizen identification, public health declaration, and public health records.

This is an important basis for planning the upcoming vaccination phases, ensuring the vaccine coverage rate and vaccination safety, basically achieving herd immunity in 2021.

Quang Ninh province has gone through 44 days without any new cases detected in the community.
