Quang Ninh: New schoolyear opening ceremony set for September 5

The opening ceremony to officially kick-start the new academic year 2021-2022 will be held simultaneously nationwide on September 5, according to a new decision issued by the provincial authorities.

The earliest date for students at all levels in Quang Ninh to start their 2021 - 2022 academic year is September 1. Particularly, grade 1 students can begin their school year on August 8, 2021.

As planned, all schools and educational institutuons across the province are to hold an opening ceremony on September 5, 2021.

Quang Ninh province has so far undergone 47 days without any new Covid-19 infected cases detected in the community.

However, the education sector has already planed detailed timeline for the whole academic school year and prepared necessary methods to handle negative problems resulting from COVID-19 pandemic which has been developing in a complicated fashion.

Quang Ninh Department of Education and Training has required all schools to drastically review and submit statistics on the number of officials, teachers, employees and students who have left the province during summer vacation but have not returned yet, as well as those carrying out isolation methods. These people will be given detailed instructions on how to come back Quang Ninh and relavant disease prevention measures.

Schools must have accomplished sanitizing classrooms and other facilities before August 30, 2021 to ensure safety for students.
